You get a remarkably livable and modernly genius home all-in-one that happens to be a mathematically divided hexagon. And lets be honest, an average client might hesitate and run in the other direction.However, these clients might have been the fuel to the fire so to speak, as their first request was to ‘disrupt and dismantle the hierarchy of spaces’ found in other houses and rethink conventions of privacy. And that Maltzan did within the 2497sf home, as not one door or partition between rooms can be found. Despite the sharp angles of the basic shape and forms within, the rooms (living, raised dining/kitchen, library, two bedrooms, bathroom, internal courtyard, and terrace) flow seamlessly from one to another. With the most impressive moment being when one walks into the living room and is greeted with the wall of glass that frames a panoramic view to the south.
