Avra Verde - Seven Design Pavilon in Saguaro National Park West by Rick Joy

Seven Exclusive Desert Pavilions On Forty Acres, located At The Saguaro National Park West.and designed by Tucson architectural firm, Rick Joy Architects. This project is to promote an indoor-outdoor lifestyle merging sensory experience, artisanship, and environment sensibility; to create the most unique private residence enclave in the American Southwest.
Deserts are an inspiration to Rick Joy to design a minimalist home. Even though the house looks quite modest it’s beautiful and eye-catching. Like usual houses it has a garden and a courtyard but plants there are cactuses. The whole cactus is looks like oasis because of its cool dark areas, the sound of water, the smell of flowers and so on. It features a cropped view of Tumacacaori Park which is located near by.The use of raw, untreated steel works exceedingly well here in the Desert, reminding one of rusty cans or abandoned auto carcasses. The house is ingeniously angled to exploit precisely framed views in all directions and the overall effect is serene and sophisticated. A negative edge pool located at the west end of the courtyard extends the experience to this view. The coarseness of the rough steel exterior contrasts with the refinement of the interior palette of white plaster, stainless steel, maple, and translucent glass. Protruding steel box windows forms penetrate the building in apparently random but carefully selected locations to frame specific views of lightning storms and distant mountain ranges.

Ezt a közel negyven holdon elterülő Exkluzív sivatagi lakóparkot egy Tucson-i építész csapat tervezte Rick Joy vezényletével.A projekt célja az volt hogy elősegítse a külső és belső élettér egyesülését így okozva teljes érzékszervi élményt. Ric Joy örömmel elvállalta a tervezői feladatokat és így létrejött 7 minimalista hangvételű fantasztikus külső és belső kialakítású sivatagi otthon.A házakban nagyszerűen kezelték az ellentéteket , a durva rozsdás anyagokat ,vagy épen kőburkolatokat és a finom felületű falburkolatokat, és mobiliákat úgy rakosgatták egymás mellé, hogy az egy új és szokatlan vizuális élményt nyújt. Az épületek első ránézésre véletlenszerű elhelyezkedése is átgondoltságot és tudatos tervezést és előkészítést igényelt.Remek tájolásukkal az épületek kiváló kikapcsolódást és pihenést nyújtanak a házak tulajdonosainak.
